Finished!

A close up of the Pixie stencil that I did.

Lexi and Aunt Syndal

After a lot of work and little sleep, Lexi's room is completed (minus a few decorations). We took the crib down and put Lexi in her brand new big girl bed. Last night was her first night in her bed and she had a hard time. Brody and I stayed in her room until she fell asleep around 1 or 1:30 and then we snuck off to our bed. Hopefully tonight is better for all of us. Here is a video of Lexi reading to Syndal. Just pretend that I didn't say crap in the middle of the video because I started laughing and shaking the camera.

No Shoes, No Socks, Oh no!

It seems like every time we get in the car whether it is a short drive or a long drive, some how Lexi always ends up with bare feet. It does not matter how many times I ask her to leave them on she still prefers them off. It is a pain to put them back on in 30 degree weather every time that I get her out of the car. I decided to take pictures of her now every time it happens and post them along the side of our blog. You will have to be sure to check it out.

Painting

We still need to paint the chair rail, paint purples stripes on the bottom and the pixie dust right above the chair rail.
Lexi for some reason really likes to wear Brody's safety glasses from his tool bag. Apparently they are even better upside down.

Grandpa Mike allowed Lexi to help paint for a minute. Yikes!

We started painting Lexi's room this weekend and it has been a lot of work. Brody put a chair rail and helped paint it Tinkerbell colors. It will look so cut when it is all done. Right now the colors look a little crazy and wild. Thanks to Tara, my Mom and Mike (Brody's dad) who helped this weekend.

Go Utes!!!

Lexi and her great aunt Tracie

I love the look on her face in this picture. She is a fast runner! I was only able to get this much of her as she was running around.

I know this is a little late but I wanted to post Lexi's pictures from the other night when we watched the Sugar bowl. She looked so cute in her outfit. I could not get her to hold still so these are the best pictures I could get of her.

Christmas

Santa Brought Lexi a Tinkerbell kitchen
As you can see she just loves her kitchen

Digging out the presents

Lexi would not hold still for a picture with my dad. This was the best I could get.

Santa knows how much Lexi loves the vacuum so he brought her a princess one. Grandpa Martin said that Santa will be the last man to ever give Lexi a vacuum.

This Christmas was an interesting one. We started at my moms house on Christmas Eve and ate dinner and opened presents with all of the siblings (minus Stan who is on his mission in DC). All the grand kids were excited to get their presents from grandma and grandpa who by the way did an excellent job at picking out presents that each child would love. Carter got Geo Tracks and he was so excited, Ava got a cute piano and so did Addi. Lexi got the full Cinderella out fit to play dress up. Lexi was so hyper all night until about 9 when she started throwing up. We had to cancel plans to go over to Michelle's and take her home and get her in bed. The next morning we went in her room to get her up and show her what Santa had brought but there was an unusual smell in her room. She had spit (as she calls it) again in her crib. So before opening presents we had to get her into the tub and all cleaned up. Once we got down stairs and opened presents she was so excited. My dad was able to come down and see her open all of her presents from Santa and he brought her some great toys as well. He gave her a baby doll that she just loves. My dad left and went up to Tara's house while Brody began shoveling the driveway. He did not have enough time to finish so he just shoved a path for me and Lexi out to the truck so we could get over to Mike and Michelle's. We got some great presents from them to go with our camp trailer. We got a camp chief and just about everything we will need for the inside. Lexi got a cute little tykes digital camera. We then headed to Georgia and Dude's (Brody's grandpa Mike and grandma Georgia) house for breakfast. Georgia makes the best biscuits and gravy! When we left there we went to Ray and Bonnie's (Michelle's parents) house for dinner. After that we went home and went to sleep because both Brody and I had to work in the morning. It was a great Christmas and Lexi is still singing Santa Claus is coming to town. We are excited for next year!

I have been punked!

I decided to take a half day last Tuesday to get a few Christmas things done and this is what I came back to work to on Wednesday. A bunch of my good work friends punked me! Amber said that is what I get for taking a half day off and leaving her alone. I just enjoyed opening everything. These pictures do not do their work justice. Everything was wrapped individually, every picture frame, computer speaker, tissue box, printer, stapler, candle, post it's, etc, etc.

Sick or Not???

The last week has been pretty weird for Lexi. I cannot figure out if she is sick or not. She has been tired and grumpy the last few days but she doesn't have a runny nose or temperature. Just a tummy ache. I got the camera out while she was watching cartoons and she made these faces for me.
