The last 39 days of our lives in a nutshell!

It has been a long time since my last blog and a lot has happened. We have been really busy but it has been a lot of fun. The last 39 days have consisted of the following:

- A trip to California for an Anderson Family Reunion. It was so much fun and I was glad that Lexi and I were able to go down. Tara, Carter, Ava, Lexi and I all decided to drive down together in the same car... that only lasted about 2 hours. Thank you Dad for helping us with the kids and allowing them to take turns in your car. This kept the hitting, kicking, pinching, screaming and everything else in between to a minimum. After 13 hours of driving down we made it to grandma's house safe and sound. The trip home only took us 12 hours...we made great timing!

- Envision Summer Party! Every year my work throws a party for all of our loan officers and it is held at Kearns Pool. (sorry no pictures)

- Josh and Heather had Baby Maddison blessed.

- Trip to the Zoo with Tara, Carter and Ava.

- I took on more responsibility at work.

- Brody has had more work at home. He has had so many side jobs recently. Every one of my siblings has had their car need work in the past few months (except Stan because he does not have a car since he is serving a mission in DC & Jackie's car had a problem but it was covered under warranty.)

- A Family "staycation" with my Mom, Phil and siblings. We did a girls night and went to a movie and the next day we went swimming, had a family BBQ and then went back to my house to roast marshmallows.
- I read a BOOK! I never read... but I bought a book and read the WHOLE thing start to finish in 4 days. I cannot tell you which book or else I will be made fun of forever.

- Lexi managed to get the biggest goose egg on forehead that I have ever seen by running into the kitchen table at Amanda's house when I came to pick her up.

It has been a fun month but a tired one. Lexi managed to get in a few naps where ever she felt comfortable.

Trip to the Uintas

We went camping up in the Uintas this last weekend with Phil, my Mom, Mike, Michelle, Syndal and Kolby. It was a lot of fun! The camp spot

We have a bunk area in the back of the trailer and Lexi started in the bed at night but by the next morning I found her in a different spot. You could only see the top of her head and toes.

Phil taught Lexi how to fish.

I love this picture! She looks so cute.

Lexi liked to hold Remington's leash and try to control everything that he did.

Alexa's party

We had Lexi's birthday party last Saturday and it was a lot of fun. We had the family over for cake and ice cream and once it got a little later we started a fire and made smores. Thanks to everyone who came and made it such memorable night. Lexi and Ava opening presents

The blanket from aunt Syndal.
There is a little battle between Tara and Cory and Brody and I to get the noisiest toys for the others kids. They got Lexi this piano that has been playing non stop at our house as well as the microphone below.

The microphone that can transmit through a FM radio and play through the speakers in your car.
Her Hello Kitty Cupcake Cake.

Lexi blowing out her candles. She got a little too close and burned her eyelashes on her right eye. Yikes!

Happy 3rd Birthday Lexi!

I know this post is a week late but better late then never. Last week my sweet Lexi turned 3. Just like all other moms out there I wanted to make that day extra special and have activities planned for Lexi. I had originally decided that I would do that by leaving Lexi with my mom while Brody and I worked. Once we got home we would go over to Boondocks and play since we had never been there before. Well once her birthday came I decided I really just wanted to stay home with my baby instead of working. Thankfully I work for a great company that was understanding and let me take a half day to spend with Lexi. We started the afternoon with lunch at Tara's house with Papa Martin, Grandma Janean, Carter, Ava and of course Tara. After that we went over to the Splash Park and let the kids play for a while. Ava, Lexi and Carter

Lexi hates being splashed by other kids so she played around the edge of all the water.

After the Splash Park we went to Artic Circle for an ice cream cone.

Once we left Artic Cirlce it was nap time so we went home and Lexi took a nap so she wouldn't be to tired when Daddy got home. When Brody got home and Lexi woke up we gave Lexi her birthday present...A BIKE! She was so excited. Lexi had only started asking for a bike a few days before her birthday but she would just cry and cry because she wanted one so bad.

Lexi's first ride!

We went out again that night for ice cream and this time we went to Coldstone with Daddy, Josh, Heather, Maddison, Syndal, Kolby, Mike and Michelle. One of the workers always remembers Lexi and exactly what she likes. Lexi gets the blue ice cream (cotton candy) with either sprinkles or vitamins (gummy bears but she thinks they are vitamins because she takes the Flintstones gummy vitamins every day).

Once we got home Lexi was able to relax in her new purple chair and watch Tom and Jerry before bed. I think the day went well and Lexi had a great time.
