Swimming Pool

I put Lexi's swimming pool up for the first time yesterday and she had so much fun. The water was pretty cold at first but she didn't care. We were outside for hours. I had fun watching her play and I just love being her mommy.

After a little while we made it so Lexi could go down the slide into the pool. She loved doing that and it was funny to watch her.

Cute Hats

I just wanted to share with everyone something my friend Kristyn has started doing. She bought these hats and then added these crystals. She is selling her service so you can buy whatever hat you like and then she will add the crystals. I love the hats and think she does a fantastic job. If anyone is interested in having Kristyn do this for you then leave comments and I will contact you to give you her information.

Mothers Day

Mothers day this year was really relaxing. Most holidays with us are spent running from house to house and making sure we are able to see everyone. This year my mom was out of town so we will be celebrating next Sunday so the only moms we needed to see was Brody's mom and grandma. We went to brunch with all of Michelle's family and had a good time. Once that was done we were able to relax and take a nap. That is all I could have asked for on Mothers day. Brody and Lexi gave me an iPod and I got a scentsy from Mike, Michelle and Syndal. Thanks for making mothers day so great and Happy Mothers day to all the other Mommy's out there.

Barbie

I had a friend from work email me this and I thought it was funny and I had to share it. It might only be funny to those of you who live in Utah.

Mattel recently announced the release of limited-edition Barbie Dolls for the Utah market:

'Park City Barbie' She comes with an assortment of Kate Spade Handbags, a Lexus SUV, a long-haired foreign dog named Honey and a million dollar home. Available with or without tummy tuck and face lift. Workaholic Ken sold only in conjunction with the augmented version.

'Sandy Barbie' The modern day homemaker Barbie is available with Ford Wind star Minivan and matching gym outfit. She gets lost easily and has no full-time occupation. Traffic jamming cell phone sold separately.

'Ogden Barbie' This recently paroled Barbie comes with a 9mm handgun, a Ray Lewis knife, a Chevy with dark tinted windows, and a meth Lab Kit. This model is only available after dark and must be paid for in cash (preferably small, untraceable bills) unless you are a cop; then we don't know what you are talking about.

'Draper Barbie' This yuppie Barbie comes with your choice of BMW convertible or Hummer H2. Included are her own Starbucks cup, credit card and country club membership. Also available for this set are Shallow Ken and Private School Skipper. You won't be able to afford any of them.

'Spanish Fork Barbie' This pale model comes dressed in her own Wrangler jeans two sizes too small, a NASCAR t-shirt and Tweety Bird tattoo on her shoulder. She has a six-pack of Bud light and a Hank Williams Jr. CD set. She can spit over 5 feet and kick Mullet-Haired Ken's butt when she is drunk. Purchase her pickup truck separately and get a confederate flag bumper sticker absolutely free.

"Scipio Barbie' This tobacco-chewing, brassy-haired Barbie has a pair of her own high-heeled sandals with one broken heel from the time she chased Beer-Gutted Ken out of Spanish Fork Barbie's house. Her ensemble includes low-rise acid-washed jeans, fake fingernails, and a see-through halter-top. Also available with a mobile home.

'Avenues Barbie' This doll is made of actual tofu. She has long straight brown hair, arch-less feet, hairy armpits, no makeup and Birkenstocks with white socks. She prefers that you call her Willow. She does not want or need a Ken doll, but if you purchase two Avenues Barbies and the optional Subaru wagon, you get a rainbow flag bumper sticker for free.

'West Valley Barbie' This Barbie now comes with a stroller and 2 infant dolls. Optional accessories include a GED and bus pass. White boy Gangsta Ken and his 1979 Caddy were available, but are now very difficult to find since the addition of the infant.

'Provo / BYU Barbie'
She's perfect in every way, mainly due to the high levels of antidepressants in her system. We don't know where Ken is because he's always at church meetings.

Fun

Saturday was a really fun day for us. It started by going down to my great Aunt Lydia's house to see her and Valloy with my dad, Carter, Ava and Lexi. The kids ran around and played for a while and then we went to McDonald's to get some lunch. After lunch the kids were all getting pretty tired so Lexi and I went home. When we got home Lexi took a nap and my best friend Lindsey came over. Once Lexi got up from her nap she got to go with Mike and Michelle down to Syndal's dance competition. Syndal had try outs for the University of Utah Crimson Line in the morning and then Competition later that night, I bet she was way tired. She made the team, Congrats Syndal! While Lexi was gone Brody did a little work on Lindsey's car and Lindsey and I hung out in the garage and just watched him work. When Lexi got back we went bowling with Josh, Heather, Maddison and Lindsey. It was so much fun to take Lexi bowling. She did a really good job, she beat everyone on the first round. Saturday was also Heather's birthday so we had one of the guys make an announcement over the intercom.

Happy Birthday Heather!
