Cookie Cutters

I took Lexi to get her first haircut on Saturday and she did great. We have cut Lexi's bangs many times but I have never taken her anywhere to get it done. We took her to a place called Cookie Cutters. I had never been there before but I had heard good things about it. They had fun chairs and Lexi was able to pick which one she wanted to sit in and she was able to watch Scooby Doo while they cut her hair. I thought she would be scared and a little uneasy but she did a great job. Lexi will turn around and hit me every time that I pull her hair up but whenever the stylist asked Lexi to do anything it was a piece of cake. I loved how they styled her hair after she looked adorable.

Way Funny

I was going through some pictures and I came across this one and had to post it. This post is for you Kam.This is Kami, she is a friend of mine that used to work with me. Last May my work took everyone to Disneyland when we met one of our goals. This picture was taken on the shuttle bus heading to the hotel as we came back from a long day at Disneyland. I can't decide which is my favorite part, Kami sleeping or the creepy lady in the background. Kami we miss having you at work.

Easter Fun!

This weekend went by to fast. We had so many plans and had a great time with everyone. The fun started on Saturday morning when we went to my dads house for breakfast. All of the kids played outside with grandpa and they had a blast. It was hard to get Lexi to come inside. Grandpa Martin had a fun Easter egg hunt and the kids got lots of candy. After that we went home and all three of us had a nap. When we woke up we went to Brody's parents house to color eggs and Lexi loved it. Saturday night we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse with Aunt Syndal. When we got home that night we were all so tired and Lexi went right to sleep. Sunday morning Lexi woke us up and she started finding eggs that the Easter bunny left her. Then we were off to Mike and Michelle's house for breakfast and to find some eggs that the Easter Bunny left there too. We went to my Mom's house for dinner and played for a while. Sunday was such a pretty day that Lexi was able to play outside a lot and she loved it. We had a great weekend with everyone and thank you to all the grandparents for the candy, toys and memories. She had lots of fun.

Showing off her cool eggs.
Next year we will have to use clear cups because all she wanted to do was watch the eggs and keep checking on them.

Mommy, Lexi and Daddy

She kept telling us, "Silly Easter Bunny put an egg on the t.v.!"
Lexi loves Nerds!

Blowing bubbles on the porch.

Playing golf with the new clubs that Lexi got.

Poor Remington had to run for his life because Lexi kept wanting to hit him with the clubs.

Success

Alexa finally went in the potty! The first time she did was with our babysitter Amanda on Tuesday. I am sure she will continue to have accidents here and there but as long as I am not changing diapers I'm happy. We keep trying to give her rewards so that she thinks it is fun. When she did it for the first time she got a Tinkerbell doll and then last night we took her to get ice cream at Cold Stone. I better get a potty chart so I can keep track of her progress and I hear from my sister Tara that they can be very helpful.

Potty Time!

We are trying to get Lexi to use the potty and I think that we are slowly making progress. She has not gone in the potty but she is wearing panties every now and then and she has had a few accidents. I took these pictures the other day when she put her panties on by herself. They were inside out and backwards, it did not look very comfortable but she didn't mind to much. I will be sure to use these pictures as blackmail when she is older.

I love that she is trying to pick her wedgie in this picture. She is so cute.

I saw this crazy story in the news and to my sister Tara and I this would be a nightmare neighbor because of our allergies. How could you have that many cats???

Police remove more than 60 cats from Lehi duplex
April 3rd, 2009 @ 12:03pm
LEHI, Utah (AP) -- Police removed more than 60 cats from a woman's Utah County apartment after receiving an anonymous complaint.
Lehi Code Inspector Arnie Hunt says the woman's two-bedroom apartment in Lehi also was condemned because it was filthy, unhealthy and not structurally sound.
Police in biohazard suits spent three hours Thursday rounding up the cats. They appeared to be in good shape and were taken to an animal shelter in Lindon.
City officials say the woman, who was not cited, was allowed to keep two cats and a dog.
Hunt says city officials removed 35 cats from the woman's home three years ago.
