Papa Martin's Halloween Party

We went up to my dad's house for a Halloween Party and it was a lot of fun. Lexi was so excited to go up there and then once we got there she was really shy for a while but once she warmed up to everyone she did great. Lexi is a witch and her baby sister is her black cat. They looked so cute. Thanks for having us up Dad!

Girl Party/Sleepover

Lexi has been having a hard time adjusting back into life with Maylie especially now that I am working again. If anyone has any tips on how to handle a jealous child please do share. One thing that my sister told me is to take special time to do things with Lexi, so this last weekend Lexi had a little sleepover in my room. We kicked Brody out and he had to sleep in the basement AKA man cave while we watched Princess and the Frog and ate popcorn, redvines and other candy. Lexi had a lot of fun and she loaded my bed up with tons of pillows and blankets. She even slept in for me the next day. Thanks for making my Saturday night extra special Lexi!!! I love these girls...

Welcome to the Family Baby Ty!

My oldest Sister Tara had her baby 6 1/2 weeks after I had Maylie. She named him Ty Douglas Jackson and he is so sweet and tiny. From day 1 I have just loved all my nieces and nephew... now I can say nephews! Congrats to Tara and her family, Ty is beautiful! Here is a picture of him and Maylie side by side. Maylie looks like a giant because Ty is so small. It is crazy how quick they grow.

This picture looks like Maylie is trying to beat him up. I am sure she will be doing this in another 9 months or so until he gives her the toy he is playing with.

Back to work...

I went back to work on the 8th of October and I was so sad to leave the girls. My first couple days back were pretty easy because the girls were with my mom and then Brody. The first day that I left our babysitters house I shed a few tears but I am doing better now. We have an amazing babysitter (Amanda) she is so nice and I can just see how much she loves the girls and Lexi has a great time playing with her daughter Sadie. I think there are pro's and con's to working and staying home with your kids. I love being with my kids and having time to go play and see the their cousins. We did lots of fun activities with Carter, Ava, Tara, Jackie and my Mom. Thanks to those guys for making my 6 weeks at home so enjoyable. I missed my work friends lots too. My first day back we had to spend a lot of time catching up on stories from while I was gone. It was nice to come back to a big group of friendly and excited faces. As I walked in the hallway I heard one person say, "Welcome Home!" LOL One reason that I really didn't like having to come back was I had to drive the truck for the first week because my jeep was in the shop :( I never knew how attached I was to that car until it was gone and I had to drive around a giant truck. I can't really park the truck, I usually took up 2 sometimes 4 parking spaces. It was a workout trying to get the girls in and out of the truck too. Now that my jeep is back I am much happier and so is Lexi because she can watch her movies in the car.

Here is a picture of how far away I had to park from everyone so that I didn't hit any other cars. Proof of how horrible this truck is to park.

The last 3 weeks

Three weeks ago today our sweet baby Maylie Rae joined our family. She was born at 1:48 PM weighing 7 lbs 4 oz and 20 in. long. It has been so great and so different around our home with this new little one. Lexi has taken on the roll as big sister and she is such a great helper. We love both of our girls so much and don't know where we would be without them. Thank you to all of our friends and family that came by and bringing in meals and gifts and taking Lexi for special outings. It made the transition back into normal life so much easier on all of us. Here are some pictures taken when Maylie was only 9 days old. They turned out great. We have some from the day after she was born as well and I will upload them as soon as I can.

Cars...

Brody has been wanting to get a new truck for the last little while and I wouldn't allow him to get a new one until he sold the one he has now and he had to sell it for what we owed on his truck and my jeep. So he listed it on KSL and it is SOLD! I made him take this picture yesterday before we dropped it off to the new owner and I kept teasing him and asking if he wanted some tissues. Now that his truck is gone he can start searching for a new one.
What do you do once your husband pays off your car... wreck it! Last Thursday while backing out of the garage I hit right into one of Questars brand new trucks. This vehicle only had 70 miles on it when I hit it and my car was just about paid for. What a horrible beginning to a day. Here are the pictures I took after I called Brody to tell him the bad news. We have gotten our estimates on the damage to both vehicles and it is just over 5200. Brody has been really good about not being mad at me but he sure has teased me a lot. He said I did a lot of damage for a driveway accident and at least I made it count. He also told me he was expecting it to happen sooner or later because driveway accidents run in my family (so true, right mom?).

The pictures do not do the damage justice.

Fishing & another Camping Trip

We went camping the weekend of the 24th and it was a nice little get away. The nights were pretty cold but I enjoyed it due to the fact that at home I am ALWAYS hot. Lexi loves to go camping and this trip she got to use her brand new fishing pole. Brody and Ben helped her catch 5 fish.

Lexi's 4th Birthday

I love how excited she looks in this photo.

This post is a little late but I still wanted to put pictures up off it. She turned 4 on the 21st of July and I was able to take the day off to spend with her. We had lots of things to get ready and we were able to go meet Brody for lunch at his work. We asked Lexi to pick what she wanted for lunch and she wanted Chinese. ??? She normally doesn't like Chinese so that came as a shock. The night of her birthday we had a little get together at the park. I can't believe how big she is and how much she has learned. We just love her and are so excited to see how amazing she will be as a big sister.

4th of July, Pregnant Pics and Camping

This year we had a fun 4th of July. We went to a couple different fireworks shows, Riverton parade and carnival. Lexi did a great job at the fireworks this year she wasn't scared anymore! I love this time of year because there are so many fun things to do and the weather is warm.

These are the best pictures I could get of Maddi and Lexi.

I am not sure what she is making this face for.

Lexi and Daddy at the parade.

Mommy, Lexi and Daddy waiting for the parade to start. Heather and I had to set our chairs out 4 days before the parade to make sure that we got the spot we wanted.

Me, Maddi and Lexi sitting at the park to hold our spot for the fireworks. We got there at 7:30 (the fireworks started at 10) and we still had a hard time finding a place to set our blankets down. Me and Heather are great at finding spots and holding them no matter what the event.

Daddy helping Lexi on the carousel.

Maddi and Lexi riding the train. Maddi didn't like it to much.

Last year I took Lexi down this same slide and she HATED every second of it so this year we were not going to take her but she insisted on going and this is how much she loved it. I had to mess with the colors on the picture because it turned out so dark and it makes both Brody and Lexi look really scary. I just can't stop laughing at the expression she is making.

We went to Utah lake with my family on July 5th and this is the only picture I took all day. Lexi was so excited with all there was to do that she didn't even mind this life jacket. Ha ha this picture will come in handy when she is 16.

Here are a couple pregnant pictures. As of right now I am 31 weeks along, YEAH! These pictures are a little bit old but once I have a newer one I will post it.

22 1/2 weeks along

27 1/2 weeks along
This last weekend we took the trailer out for the first time. We had not camped in this spot before but it has been my favorite so far. Lexi had a good time and so did we. Friday night we had a big rain storm come in on us but we just went to bed a little earlier. I hope I get to go out on a few more camping trips before this baby comes because it is so relaxing. (well until you get home and have to clean everything and wash tons of laundry)

Here is the view off of one of the trails that we went riding on.

Lexi went for lots of rides on the teryx and 4- Wheeler
